New Challenge at Snip Art

New month means new Challenge over at Snip Art.
This time the theme is “hot red” and you’ll find a wonderful moodboard if you head over to the blog.

Så här blev mitt inspirationsalster.

Canvas for the “Breath of Nature”

Canvas for the “Breath of Nature”

The third challenge at Mixed Media & Art is called Breath of Nature.
This time you need to have these things on your piece of art:

Natural materials – no scrap material
Letters – in any form

The first one is a bit more tricky then you can thought from start. Especially if the nature is rainy and wet… I had some ideas but had to change my mind when getting out there… and it ended up with grabbing some small sticks. I had to dry them though in our boilder room so I could use them!

So, my project this time became a canvas!








This is while painting the sticks with white Gesso…

ITAC – Week six – Grand finale – The World

ITAC – Week six – Grand finale – The World

My last entrance for the challenge at Aall and Create.
The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the last challenge is “The World” and the criterias are trying to use:

* CIRCLE(s) symbol of the globe, and of infinity
* Words for PEACE, LOVE, HARMONY or UNITY in any language
* Wire, sewing, lace, ribbon, something interlaced to symbolize interconnectedness
* WHITE color of unity and peace in the world
* And as we all are open-minded people your project could include a HOLE or something OPEN.

And I think I got them all on my last Canvas! The Open window = Hole or Open. I’ve also used lots of Prima products and the Bird stamp from Aall & Create.









And this is the continents made earlier… I’ll put them up as a group on my wall later.

ITAC – Week five – America

My fifth entrance for the challenge at Aall and Create.
The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the fifth challenge is “The Americas” and the criterias are trying to use:

* Shades of green
* Something transparent or sharp, like ice
* A large format feature, XXL size
* An element suggestive of money and currency
* One or more elements inspired by music and/or Samba
* Decorations made of feathers, metal, leather…

As with the other canvas I did my best to squeeze in all the criterias, but there is one I didn’t get this time… the XXL size… I gave up on that one.

The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the fourth challenge is “Africa” and the criterias are trying to use:

* Warm, bright colors
* Repeated ethnic patterns
* Charms, pearls, metallic wire…
* Words or text
* Textures, cracks, rust effect…

And as with the others I’ve tried to squeeze them all in at my canvas. Lots of fun!
