ITAC – Week Three – Oceania

My third entrance for the challenge at Aall and Create.
The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the third challenge is “Oceania” and the criterias are trying to use:

* Patterns inspired by traditional symbols (Maori tattoos, Dots/dashes of aboriginal Arts…)
* Think Monochromatic black and white or think colors of the Earth.
* Some sort of organic or natural material(s) (earth, stone, bone, bark, wood, fibres…)
* Shapes inspired by traditional or indigenous art

There was also a twist that the piece should tell a story. Mine is kind of symbolic with the heart, the blue (ocean) and the wood (land).

So, after trying my best to fit them all in (it’s always fun doing that) my canvas looked like this:

Finally some time to create for another fun challenge.
This one is for Canvas Corp Brands mood board.

Me and a friend was recently out driving our old car at a ladies only rally. It’s not the racing part, is the fun challenging part where you need to be smart, strong och whatever needed to answer riddles, doing practical things etc. A few hours of just awesome fun! This was the first time taking part in such a rally, and guess what? We made it the FIRST place! Whoop whoop!

Love our little cute car, and when dressing up in clothes from the 60’s it actually feels like beeing in a movie! Just had to use those photos with this challenge.

ITAC – Week two – Asia

My next entrance for the challenge at Aall and Create.
The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the second challenge is “Asia” and the criterias are trying to use:

· Motifs inspired by mandalas
· Geometric shapes
· Tiles – ceramic, pantiles, glazed tiles, or their designs…
· Asiatic flowers, such as cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, orchids, lotus, Frangipani, lilies, hibiscus etc..
· Calligraphy or handwriting
· Fabric, faded or dyed
· Powdered pigments

There is even a mood board as inspiration for this one.

I think I managed to include all the things listed above.

I really wanted to make something for this challenge at More than Words, but song lyrics… oh dear! That’s not really “me”. But when I browsed through my photos this song was played at the radio… and yes, there it was! I just can’t get enough of you girls!! *LOL* These furry four legged girls are the best HARMONY to our house! OK, I admit, they are a disaster sometimes too, but mostly they are the best to calm down and bring Harmony.

This is my entrance for the first challenge at Aall and Create.
The Challenge is called INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OF ART & CRAFT = ITAC 2017

The theme for the first challenge is “Europe” and the criterias are trying to use:

*A face
*Papers (newspaper, printed paper, rice paper…etc.)
*Letters, numbers
*Blue for the colour of the European Union, Union Jack…
*Ribbon, twine, string or lace…
*Textures – take inspiration from history from ancient civilisations to the fall of the Berlin Wall
*Something both vintage and modern

(You don’t have to include them all, but I did my best to do that)
