Thank you cards – for Visible Image

First month of the summer – but WHERE is it? Not at my place anyway. I’m lucky I have a cozy studio to be in these days. I’ve made two Clean And Simple cards with Visible Image stamps. Just love them for their easy use. You just can’t go wrong. The first card (Yellow/Orange) is stamped on water color paper. I’ve used rainbow ink and misted some water on the stamp before I stamped it on the paper. That makes the soft impression. The flowers and word are from the Thank You set. It’s so useful!
The edges of the water color paper is colored by first wet it with a brush with water, then I held the edge into the ink pad to let it absorbe some color. All the way around.

The other card is super super easy, and just perfect for a man/guy! I stamped the text and image on kraft paper and drew a line around it. I’ve used one of the brown distress ink-pads. The words is from the Thank You set and the car is Vintage Car. Only a few blings as decoration.

Det är juni och första sommarmånaden! Men VAR 17 är sommaren??? Tur man har ett varmt skönt pysselrum!
Idag blir det två CAS-kort för Visible Image. Underbara stämplar, enkla att använda. Det gul-orange kortet är stämplat på akvarellpapper. Jag har använt en regnbågsdyna och innan jag stämplade så sprayade jag lite vatten på stämpeln så färgerna flöt ihop en aning. Det ger oxå ett lite mjukare utseende när det är stämplat. Blommor och text kommer från Thank You set. Kanterna blötte jag upp lite och doppade i stämpeldynan så dom fick suga åt sig lite färg.

Det andra kortet är superenkelt och perfekt till en biltokig man/kille. Motiv och text är stämplat med en brun distressdyna på kraft-papper. Drog en enkel linje runt kanten och satte dit några bling bara. Texten är från Thank You set och bilen är Vintage Car.

Rock out canvas – for Visible Image

Good morning!
Found a small canvas and got the idea of sticking my hands into my mixed media stuff. Wasn’t yesterday, but it was soooo fun! Lots of layers of papers to start with, and now you can’t even see them… lol. Then colors, colors, colors and some small glass beads, gold glitter and more colors. Mostly I used acrylics as they dry fast and resist water. As the surface was not very smooth aftter layers of papers and colors I stamped my image – Rock Out – on tissue paper and deco page it on my canvas. Added some more layers of color and finally outlined the image and word with a white gel roller.

Idag blev det en canvas! Det var ett tag sedan, så jag kände för att gräva runt lite bland mina färger och mixed media-prylar och så här blev resultatet! Började med flera lager papper, och så här efteråt kan man bara konstatera att det hade inte spelat någon roll vilka papper jag tog… dom syns inte! Körde i gul-brun-guld-skala med färgerna för att det inte skulle bli allt för spretigt. Massor av lager färg, lite medium som ger struktur, medium med guldglitter i och medium med små pärlor i. Många varv med kladd blev det. Stämplarna – Rock Out – stämplade jag på ett tissue paper och rev ut och satte fast med decopage lack. Ytan var alldeles för knölig för att stämpla direkt på canvasen.

I think you all met Alice from the Alice in Wonderland set. Today she is in the lilac land. A strange land if you ask me, since I don’t like lilac very much, and still I end up there anyway. Lots of layers and lots of decorations for todays card.

Beautiful colors – for Visible Image

You can’t guess what I’ve done! Oh, maybe you can, the pictures will tell… lol.
I’ve digged through my boxes for some rainbow ink pads, and I found a bunch of them. To my surprice they worked just perfect and I had to play some. I’ve used the leaf from Colours of the Wind from Visible Image. The rainbow pads are small so I used three of them, one green, one blue and one red/yellow one. Dabbed them direct to the stamp and made sure they didn’t overlap too much so they would misscolor from each other. Then I used a fine spray mist and misted water over the stamp to blend the colors a bit. Stamped the image on watercolor paper. I hold the stamp down for a few sec before I lift it up to let the paper absorbe some color. As I could see there was color left on the stamp, and wanted to see how much, I misted the stamp once again with water and stamped again. It become a lighter impression, fully usable.

Then I stamped the words in black on top. Imperfection is beauty and All my Tomorrows.

På dagens kort har jag använt något som det var riktigt länge sedan jag använde! Regnbågsdynor! Jag grävde fram en bunt ur mina lådor, och blev faktiskt uppriktigt förvånad när dom fungerade prickfritt. På lövet har jag använt tre olika dynor och jag försökte dutta så jag inte överförde färg mellan dynorna. Sen sprayade jag med vatten över hela stämpeln så det började flyta ihop lite och stämplade därefter direkt på ett akvarellpapper. Jag höll kvar stämpeln några sekunder innan jag lyfte för att papperet skulle hinna suga åt sig ordentligt.

Eftersom det var färg kvar på stämpeln så mistade jag över lite vatten igen och testade att stämpla ytterligare en gång, och det fungerade finemang! Lite ljusare såklart, men fullt användbart. Så det blev två kort till slut. Länkarna till alla stämplar hittar ni i den engelska texten ovanför.

CAS is rockin’ – for Visible Image

CAS is rockin’ – for Visible Image

Trying some real CAS-cards today. CAS stands for Clean And Simple, like less is more. I’ve used the stamps from Rock Out on the brown card. I stamped the image with a brown inkpad on a kraft paper and chalked the edges. Super easy. For the other one I’ve used These are the moments and one of the circles from the Universal kit. I found a bunch small rainbow inkpads that still worked and used them for the circles. Then I just stamped the sentiment in black.

Idag bjuder jag på två äkta CAS-kort. CAS står för Clean And Simple och är helt enkelt ett Stilrent enkelt kort utan massa dekorationer och lager. Ett bra sätt att faktiskt sätta full fokus på det man har stämplat. Jag har använt mig av stämplar från Visible Image och i den engelska texten ovanför är det direkt länkat till dom olika stämplarna. Till dom färgglada stämplarna använde jag mig av små regnbågsstämpeldynor som jag hittade i en av lådorna. Med snabb huvudräkning så är dom minst 6-7 år gamla och det var inte minsta fel på dom. Härligt!
