New Challenge at Scrap From Your Heart

New Challenge at Scrap From Your Heart

Time for a new challenge over at Scrap From Your Heart!
April is a spring month and we are moving there with uneven steps. One day super cold, another super warm and a third real rainy… and then it starts over. The best thing though is that it’s always the PERFECT weather inside my scraproom / studio. LOL

OK, what’s up for challenge? Spring Colors / Easter

I’ve made an alternative easter egg to fill up with candy or something else for the reciever.

Embellishments: Flowers (49 market & WOC), Chipboard (Snip Art), Cheesecloth, Feathers, Microbeads, Lace
Other: Glitter
Medium: Acrylics, Gesso, Heavy Gel (Prima), Mists (Tattered Angels)

Embellishments: Cheesecloth, Flowers, Bling, Ribbon, Butterflies, Feathers,
Medium: Black Gesso, Acrylics, Home made pearl mist.

Idag släpper vi en ny utmaning hos Scrap From Your Heart!

Medium: Gesso, glue, 3d gel, crackle paint
Colors: Mists (Tattered Angels), Rainbow colors (13arts), Home made mist (Perfect Pearls + water), Inka Gold, Metallic Rub-ons.

Mixed Media Dinner?

Mixed Media Dinner?

Lots and lots of photos today of the process of this mixed media piece.
It all started with some odd cutlery we had at or own flea market. I seen someone making cool stuff with a spoon etc, so I thought, why not use them all!

First layer is Glue, Beads, Punchinella, Cheesecloth, paper, net and probably something more I can’t remember now. Then covered with white gesso. The Cutlery is glued with 3d Glossy Gel.

Then I needed some flowers… so I used what I found, and happily some large ones!

Then cover it all with gesso – again.

Close up of structure.

Added chipboard from SnipArt.

And now the fun part – colours! Mists from Tattered Angels and Dylusions. Pigment powder (rainbow colors) from 13arts.

The cutlery is painted with Prima Color Bloom Gold Foil mist. (it’s more gold-ish in real life then this pictures)

And after I thought I was finished the first time I changed my mind and added some more colors (Rainbow colors 13arts) for extra contrast. Dots are splashed gesso mixed with some water to get it more liquid-ish.

Words from Tim Holtz.
